Port Logistics Group Designated a Top 3PL by Global Trade & Inbound Logistics Magazines

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 12, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Port Logistics Group, the nation's leading provider of omnichannel logistics services, today announced that it has been named to Global Trade's Leading 3PLs list in the newly created "Ecommerce/Omnichannel" category and to Inbound Logistics' Top 100 3PL Providers list.

"We are especially pleased to be recognized for our efforts in providing ecommerce and omnichannel expertise to our existing and new customers," said Greg Morello, Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer for Port Logistics Group. "We know that we need to be on the cutting edge of facility design and technology in order to help our clients grapple with the fast changing retail market and the need to serve customers anywhere, anytime."

Global Trade editors recognized "The Amazon Effect" taking hold of the marketplace noting that, "3PLs clearly now strive to be the kind of one-stop shops not only able to offer every kind of service a customer could want but to do it faster, better and more efficiently for clients who need it done 'now'." This trend led the editors to create the "Ecommerce/Omnichannel" category and named Port Logistics Group as one of only seven 3PLs in the category. The Global Trade editors wrote that Port Logistics Group's, "experienced e-commerce order fulfillment team is ready to do gift-wrapping, specialized packaging, gift cards or personalized notes–those final touches that make each customer experience a good one."

This year, the service providers Inbound Logistics selected are companies that, in the opinion of its editors, offer the diverse operational capabilities and experience to meet readers' unique supply chain and logistics needs. "Today's leading companies are struggling to balance the need for advance planning against the demands for supply chain agility, low-inventory schemes, and complex omni-channel and e-commerce distribution regimes," said Felicia Stratton, Editor of Inbound Logistics. "Port Logistics Group continues to provide solutions to help companies meet those challenges, and that's why Inbound Logistics editors have recognized Port Logistics Group as one of 2017's Top 100 3PL Providers."

The America's 100 Leading 3PLs list was published in the August/September 2017 issue of Global Trade. The Top 100 3PLs list was published in the July 2017 issue of Inbound Logistics.
