Leading iPhone scanning application to be integrated into numerous eBay components
San Jose, Calif - eBay announced that it had acquired RedLaser, the popular bar code scanning application for the iPhone and the related technology from Occipital. RedLaser has had over 2 million downloads. RedLaser is a bar code scanning application that allows users to quickly do comparison shopping.
"With RedLaser's innovative technology, eBay is continuing to help shoppers quickly find the best deals online, and eBay sellers will be able to list their items faster".
eBay intends to integrate Redlaser's bar code scanning technology into its iPhone applications, allowing users to scan bar codes in and reduce the work needed to post items on eBay's auction website.
RedLaser to be FREE. According to the news release on eBay's website, the RedLaser app is going to be free for the iPhone. Additionally, listings of eBay items will be available to RedLaser users.
